
PIH have a strong field supervision team with considerable experience and knowledge of spool base, offshore and onshore operations and all PIH coating systems. Their responsibility is to manage the project as a whole, to ensure that all required equipment and materials are maintained and available, to liaise with the client on a day-to-day basis, attend production meetings and ensure that all safety requirements are known and implemented.
Field supervisors have direct access to specialist QA and HSE personnel within PIH organisation if required. The function of the line supervisors is to manage the line production, ensure that QA and Safety requirements are met. PIH coating technicians are all fully trained in equipment operation and coating procedures.
PIH operate a dedicated training school at our Burnley facility, through which new technicians are trained prior to arrival on site. This facility is also used to train experienced operators in the use of newly development equipment and to ensure all PIH personnel are adequately trained in all aspects of on the job safety. At present the PIH training school is an Energy and Utilities Skills (EUS) accredited facility, training technicians to National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) Levels 2 or 3.
